LYNC ABS Download problem with HLB F5 BIG-IP

Discussion générale
-
Hello,
I can't download the lync ABS from my Lync clients from the internal web services see the image.
For implement the load balancing I follow the intructions of this doc:
http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/f5-lync-dg.pdf
My infrastructure is composed of:
- 1 pool of 2 Front-End load balanced by a HLB F5
- 1 pool of 2 Directors load balanced by a HLB F5
- 1 pool of 2 Edges load balanced by a HLB F5
When I bypass the VIP of the F5 with the hosts file I can download the abs so for me it's a problem with the F5 configuration.
So, I test the persistence of the F5. I deactivate one of the two servers in the F5 configuration and I can't download the abs.
I test with powershell the web service and I've got this error:
Have you got any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
Jerome

Hi Jerome,
Can you check this article about how to troubleshoot the Address Book ? http://blogs.technet.com/b/nexthop/archive/2012/06/21/lyncmd-troubleshooting-the-lync-2010-address-book.aspx
It can give you come clues..
Just a little thing : Have you configured the policy to enforce clients to get the address book through a web query ?
You should also check that the fileshare can be accessible from both servers.
Here's an article on how ABS delivers the address book : http://designinglync.blogspot.fr/2011/04/lync-address-book-service.html

Hi Adrian,
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, this article don't give me some clues...
Yes the policy is configured for: WebSearchAndFileDownload
The file share is accessible from both servers.
My problem it's for me in the configuration of the hardware load balancer F5 because if I bypass it my lync clients can download the address book generated but with the F5 my clients can't download it.
Regards,
Jérôme

Hi again Jerome,
Can you use the logging tool while you connect with the Lync Client and share the log with us / Give us a larger screenshot to see the whole process of the test powershell comamnd ? / Access the ABS address : https://<Lync Pool FQDN>:443/abs/handler ?
Even if you can connect successfully through F5, it can give us more information about the error...
I've not played with F5 Load Balancer yet, so I can only give you some keys...
Oh and one thing, you can speak french here ;)

Bonjour,
S'agissant d'un trafic HTTP / HTTPS, est ce que la persistance est bien configurée sur votre régle ?
Il semble que la réponse ne parvient pas à l'utilisateur.
