  • Hi DHMHTHRHS_HAWK,

I did some search and found that Turbo-X uranus duo computer's manufacturer is in Greece. If it is convenient for you, please contact the laptop manufacturer directly and see if they can provide the sound card driver for Windows 7.

In addition, we can also try the suggestions below to see if the issue can be resolved:

Please first check if the volume is set to mute.

If the sound worked before, let's roll back the sound card driver to check the result:

Roll back the sound card driver

    ===================

    1. Click the Start Button, type Device Manager in the Search bar and press "Enter". Click Continue if necessary.

    2. Double click to expand the "Sound, video and game controllers".

    3. Right click the display card and click "Properties".

    4. Click the "Driver" tab and click "Roll Back Driver".

What is the result? If the issue persists, please right click the sound card in Device Manager and then click Uninstall. After restarting the computer, please go to Start, type Windows Update in the Search box, click Check for updates on the left pane to scan and download the update to install the display card driver from Windows Update.

If the issue still exists, please also Troubleshoot audio playback. To do this, please go to Control Panel -> Troubleshooting -> Troubleshoot audio playback.

If the above suggestions do not work, the audio device shall not be compatible with Windows 7. Please wait for the manufacturer to release new drivers to resolve this issue.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

    Linda

  • According to your description, I recommend you test the issue using another pair of speaker or headphone. What is the result? If the issue still exists, as previously mentioned, it shall be caused by sound card compatibility. Please contact the laptop manufacturer and see if they can provide a sound card driver for Windows 7.

  • Hi
Have you downloaded and installed the HD Codec drivers for Windows 7? I don't mean the drivers for the sound card, but the UAA style drivers for HD?

If not then go to -

    www.realtek.com.tw

    1) Click on the DOWNLOADS tab
    2) Then click on COMPUTER PERIPHERALS ICS (On the left hand side)
    3) Then PC AUDIO CODEC
    4) Then HIGH DEFINITION CODEC
    5) It will ask you to accept then details, just tick the box and click NEXT
    6) It should be the top option, just select one of the GO download links and hopefully when you install it that should be it

    go to:(just follow instructions)

    www.realtek.com.tw

    1) Click on the DOWNLOADS tab
    2) Then click on COMPUTER PERIPHERALS ICS (On the left hand side)
    3) Then PC AUDIO CODEC

or if your really lazy just like me click here: ( i just dont know if this will auto-lead you to the proper site, if not, well you have to do the long cut)

    http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

however, after i did all this, the problem is still exist. no sound coming from my built-in speakers, BUT when i plugged in a head phone it kinda detected it and i got my sounds. but when i unplugged my head phones, the sound dies down and it says in the control panel that my speakers are not plggued in.  i tested this a couple of times and i get the same result. until now im stucked with my head phones plugged in just to have sounds.

  • Thanks for the replay.
I have exactly the same problem. No sound in built in speakers but sound in the head phone. I suspect that the built in speakers are usb and the system could not recognize them. I do not think that it is a driver issue from realtek. The next week i will go to the manufacturer store (plaisio) and ask. If i find something i will tell you.
