Sharepoint 2010 - Creating new document Office Web App on IE9 RRS feed

  • Discussion générale

  • Hello,

We are using Sharepoint 2010 SP1 with the Office Web Apps SP1 to store the company documents.

Since the last update of Google Chrome it is now impossible to read the word documents in the Office Web App, the text has gone. We are waiting for an update of Google Chrome and are using Internet Explorer 8-9 instead.

With Internet explorer there is no problem to view the documents in the Web app and to modify it. But if we would like to create a new document on a library, based on a word template with the "New document" button, there is an error message :

some files can harm your computer.[...] You are opening the following file :
    File Name : template.dotx
    From : sharepoint.domain.local

If I click on the "OK" button it seems that Word should lauch but office is not installed on the computer, it's why we are using the Office Web App. We don't want to create a new Word document with Word, but with the web app.

The sharepoint URL in in the thrusted sites and we don't have any problem to view or modify files with the Office Web App. The only issue is to create a new document from a template.

    Thanks :)
