any way to get the cqwp to display folders ?
it seems to display documents only
is there any other web part that can display folders as a result of a search with parameter form the querystring ?

Unfortunately, I think no. The CQWP is really designed to let you aggregate files and items independent of physical structure. But you can use it to display files from a specific folder.
