Failed to install KB4103718 on my Win7 pro - tried all forum methods I think

    Pertanyaan

  • Hi, I've tried 30 times maybe, to install KB4103718 on my Win7 pro

I have this : Windows update "Security Update for Windows (KB4103718)" could not be installed because of error 2147944003 "Fatal error during installation." (Command line: ""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "C:\tmp.local\update\windows6.1-kb4103718-x64_c051268978faef39e21863a95ea2452ecbc0936d.msu"        ")

Tried sfc /scannow, clean restart, disabling update and manual download, running download as elevated  - neither worked

    My CBS log:

  • Hi,

The log file is not complete, please first try these steps and help to collect completed log files I recommended for further troubleshooting.

First download and run the appropriate version of the System Update Readiness Tool.

Then run the automated troubleshooter in KB 971058 or follow the instruction to manually rest the components:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058

    Delete any incorrect registry values
Delete any incorrect values that may exist in the registry. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, and then type regedit in the Start Search box.
    2. In the Programs list, click regedit.exe.
    3. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS
    4. Right-click COMPONENTS. Click Export.

    • In the File Name box, type COMPONENTS.
In the Save in box, click Desktop, click Save, and then save the file to your desktop.
In the details pane, right-click PendingXmlIdentifier, and then click Delete. If this value does not exist, go to the next step.
In the details pane, right-click NextQueueEntryIndex, and then click Delete. If this value does not exist, go to the next step.
In the details pane, right-click AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving, and then click Delete. If the value does not exist, go to the next step.

    5. Restart the computer.

    6. Try to install the updates again.
