    Hi joelw135

Issues like this are to be expected in the early stages of a beta.

I suggest you manually check the manufacturers website for the latest drivers for the installed video card.

What does the Windows Experience Index score for the 2 Graphics components?

Right click Computer and select Properties. Click the Windows Experience Index link.

This could also be an issue with an installed IE Add-on.

Try starting Internet Explorer with no Add-ons.

Go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools and click on Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). This will start IE with all of the installed Add-ons disabled.

    Let us know.

    Desktop performance for Aero=2.0
    Gaming=3.3
I found out the problem by accident, it was my mouse drivers. Once I updated them to the Microsoft Beta drivers the problem ended.

Well it worked all day yesterday and it started flickering again. I am almost sure it has to do with the Flash Player as the adds are flickering like crazy. It even flickers when no addons are running. But not as bad. Firefox does not flicker at all.

  • Have you tried disabling the Flash player yet then? Also if your mouse was causing part of it, have you updated the rest of your drivers?

All drivers are updated and it even flashes when there are no addons being used.

  • Try disabling IE's "Enable Page Transitions", refer to http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/ie6/transitions.aspx

  • I'm having the same exact problem with Windows 7 x64 RTM. IE is just flashing like crazy. This also happens in the Windows Live Messenger ads as well. Chrome works great though. I have an integrated ATI HD3200 running Catalyst 9.8 (the newest drivers).

I would also like to note my Windows Experience Index is broken. It gave my computer a 4.3 but it refuses to display my results and when I hit re-evaluate it does nothing. I only know it gave me a 4.3 because I looked in the XML files.

  • I don't have any add-ons and it still flickers!

Last night I did a clean install of Windows 7 home 64bit on my desktop. I have an Asus M2A-VM HDMI motherboard with on board ATI X1250 Video.
After Windows 7 finished installing, I immediately did a windows update.  As soon as I opened IE, it was flashing like crazy.

I don't have any programs install on my computer, no add-ons such as Adobe Flash (haven't get to that point yet), there was no driver listed for Windows 7 in ATI/AMD's site (there is one for vista 64 though) I updated the Bios minutes before installing Windows 7.

What do I do now besides dumping IE and go from Fire Fox or Chorme?

  • Hello!
I write for the first time and I hope that I made the right forum. But the title seemed very general and therefore suitable.
    My question:
I'm working for a medium sized software company in France. After the software has now been translated in German, there is now a matter to bring them in Germany at the man. This is the positioning on various search engines such as Google can be improved. It is also planning a campaign with AdWords.
On the other hand, it is also part of my task, the positioning in a natural way as u (référencement naturel - I do not know how to say this in German) to improve. And is what it is at my question. How can you make the best for a software (software for enterprise resource planning, ie, a B2B software)? So I've found some web directories and web directories, in which one could sign up. What could we try? Does anyone of you are platforms on which to showcase its software u advertise thus also in the sense that?I've also read some of backlinks, understand the principle but not quite. Where can I put this link for a software?I hope to get some useful answers, because tomorrow afternoon I have to imagine my plan. Thanks to all of you in advance!
