QoS configuration with SKYPE/LYNC Hybrid environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have Skype/LYNC hybrid environment. for better A/V quality experienced we have already configured QoS with different in on-premises environment at server level and as well at client level through GPO and as well at network level for same range. like for audio we selected 5000 to 5039 and for video we selected 5040-5079 and similarly fo rnext 40 for application and further for file transfer.

Now with Hybrid environment, do we need to change the port range as per default QoS configured in Microsoft like for Audio it is mentioned 50000-50019 and next 20 port for video and so on?

    Thanks

  • Hi Jitender,

In my research, the ports for O365 are globally set, cannot be changed.

According the following blog, “if you have hybrid with Skype for Business Server and want to keep your QoS uniform you could use the same recommendations.”
