rds user profile disks still being used after mole removed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    We installed the roles on one server and enabled user profile disks, then we uninstalled the roles. Now when a user remotes to the server user profile disks are still being used.

    Is there a way to stop them being used?

  • Hi, can you try with this commande line:

    (Get-WmiObject -NameSpace root\CIMV2\TerminalServices -Class Win32_TSSessionDirectory).DisableUserVhd()

  • Hi Paul,

    1.Have you tried above command and whether it works?

    2.Could you please confirm  how did you uninstall the RDS roles? Have you checked the deployment on Connection broker sever and ensure roles have been removed from the organization?

    3. Find a test user and delete the profile on UPD via below tool and verify if UPD still be used when next log on?

    Sidder - Quickly see which User Profile Disk belongs to which domain user

    Best Regards,
