  • Question

  • I attempted to install System Insight on a Windows Server 2019 Evaluation VM based on the article on page: https://docs.microsoft.com/it-it/windows-server/manage/system-insights/overview#local-functionality

Windows Admin Center is installed on the VM.

When I enter the PowerShell command:

    Add-WindowsFeature System-Insights -IncludeManagementTools

I get an error saying that:

Add-WindowsFeature : ArgumentNotValid: The role, role service, or feature name is not valid: 'System-Insights'. The
    name was not found.

Is there any additional requirement to consider?

  • Thank you for sharing the page.

    The page is really interesting.

However, I go on with the same error. I presume there is some prerequisite missing, but I can't say which one...

  • I was able to install Insights from within Admin Center. One caveat was that Admin center cannot use the default IE browser on Server 2019 so installed Edge browser and all is well.

  • Hi marius,

I agree with Dave. Try to install System-insights with Admin Center would be OK.

When I try to use the powershell to install, it also display the error as you provided.

So I consider that there is still a problem with the system Insights interface for Windows Server 2019.

    Regards,
