Creating Teams RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.

    Our company has gone to Teams.

    Unfortunately there is a problem with AD->Teams synchronization and after enlisting a team from AD, it doesn't show up in MSTeams application and we have to set up and add people manually.

    While there is no problem with teams with e.g. 5-8 people, there is a problem with teams of 30-50 people each.

    And now my question: is there any possibility to automate this process, for example with a script?

    Thank you in advance for your help!

  • Hi AlexB,

    Do you mean that you want to add user to team automatically?

    If so, it is related to development, our forum does not support. The following script is just for your reference. Thanks for your understanding.

    $User = "AdminAccount"
    $PassWord = ConvertTo-SecureString -String "AdminPassword" -AsPlainText -Force
    $UserCredential = New-Object -TypeName "System.Management.Automation.PSCredential" -ArgumentList $User, $PassWord
    import-module microsoftteams
    Connect-MicrosoftTeams -Credential $UserCredential -AccountId $User

    # .csv file is saved information of users who will be added to team
    $users = import-csv c:\Temp\UserInfo.csv
    Foreach ($user in $users)
    {
            Add-TeamUser -GroupId $user.GroupId -User $user.Email -Role Member
    }
