  • 2-node 2016 Cluster with problems accessing the cluster storage: This morning I noticed that only the node owning the CSV can access it.

    If I try to browse it from the other host I get "Location is not available. C:\clusterstorage\volume1 is not accessible. The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to".

    If I change ownership of the CSV from node2 to node1, then node 1 can access it, but not node2.

    I suspect that the AD administrator has altered the setting for password and lockout, but I cannot figure out how to resolve this. Both nodes are domain members.

  • The problem was resolved by changing the minimum password length in Default Domain Policy from 15 to 14
