SCOM - will selecting "Windows Server Operating System" for an override enable the override for all Windows Operating Systems? RRS feed

  • SCOM - system center operations manger does not have a forum to select. I had to select something. PLease pass this along to the correct forum. 

    Instead of creating an override for each Operating System (windows 2012 R2, windows 2016) can one override be created selecting "windows server operating system" and work for both operating systems?

    You have posted in the dedicated forum for System Center Data Protection Manager, please note that the SCOM has been migrated to the new Microsoft Q&A platform.

    As for your question, yes you can select the Windows Server Operating System class, the override will then be active for ALL Windows Server operating systems.
