cannot connect windows ce 6 to win 2016 server? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have a win server 2016 standard (no cloud).

    I can connect using rdp/wifi from windows 10 laptop.

    A win ce terminal (unitech), connected on the same wifi, can not with the same credentials (ip, user, domain, password).

    Any hint?

  • Hi,

    On WS 2016, disable NAL via un-selecting the option “Allow connections only from compters running Remote Desktop with Network Authentication”  and save the change.

    Then, open CETSC on Windows CE to open Remote Desktop Connection, enter the WS 2016 IP address and click Connect. Then, enter credential as below format:
    <domain or computer name>\<user name>
    <Password>

    If connection failed, please provide the detail error message.

  • Sorry, it was win ce 5 and I had to install RDS service functionality.

    Installing only rdp was not enough.

    Furthermore, it created a  conflict using port 443 that is used by exchange.

    It is now fixed.
