Migrating SBS 2011 Certification Authority (local) to Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Standard x64 RRS feed

  • Hi Support, I am looking for some help. 

    I am Migrating SBS 2011 Certification Authority (local) to Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Standard x64 

    But when I choose to back up SBS 2011 Certification Authority (local) it gives the following error: 

    windows cannot backup one or more private keys because the csp does not support key export. Do you want to contunue and backup only the private keys that can be exported. 

    CA Ath General Tab shows the following:
    The CA Certificate #0 (expired)

  • If lone CA certificate is expired, then CA is no longer operational, nor issuing new certificates. Burry it as is an go with new CA on Windows Server 2016.
