DN showing in outlook RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using outlook 2013 and upon sending an email, the person that I will send the email to shows this formula instead of Display Name or Full name --- '/o=ExchangeLabs/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=346a420d1e4244d4a468febfc16f95bd-username'

We already deleted the GUID entries in C:\users\jdoe\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Book still no luck.

We also put in that DN in one of the email addresses of person in the o365 portal.

we dont want to resort to creating a new profile so pls advise.

  • Hi,

How do you add this recipient in To field when sending the email?

Generally, the issue could be caused by the legacyExchangeDN do not match the recorder in outlook nickname cache. In Outlook 2013, please click To field in new email to open Address Book, search this recipient in Global Address List. And confirm if the display name is correct in GAL.

Additionally, please open Outlook in Online mode or directly logon Outlook Web App to check this recipient in GAL. If the display name for this recipient shows wrong in OWA either, please check related settings (Add the LegacyExchangeDN to this recipient as a x500 address) in Exchange server side.
