SCCM MP HTTP Requests error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We get the following error;

MP Control Manager  detected is not responding to HTTP requests. The HTTP error is 2147500037.

MP is installed without any other errors. We are working in native mode and the IIS certificate is also installed.

    Any idea?

    Thx,

    Peter

  • Are you using an NLB? Does your site server have a client certificate on it that it can use to connect to your MP. Most importantly, are clients working properly?

That error is the dreaded "unspecified error", so it's difficult to say what's happening without more information.

  • Adam,

Thanks for the information. The IIS certificate was installed on the MP but we forgot the client certificate. Once installed the problem was solved.

    Thx,

  • I am seeing the same error, and I am not using NLB, and have the computer certificate installed.  Any suggestions?

  • Here is what I did to resolve the issue:

1- Under the Site Mode tab in the site properties I did the following:

2- Uncheck the Enable CRL checking on clients

3- Type MY in the Certificate Store field.  I picked that "MY" because I saw it mentioned on a number of logs when the   client was looking/using a cert.

4- For the Certificate criteria select "Check only certificate purpose"

5- Select any certificate that matches option.

Monitor the MPcontrol.log and you should see "Call to HttpSendRequestSync succeeded for port 443 with status code 200, text: OK"

Where before what it was failing the message was "Call to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 443 with an error code.Http test request failed, error code is -2147467259."

    Restart the SMS services.

  • 'Call to HttpSendRequestSync failed for port 443 with an error code.Http test request failed, error code is -2147467259."

The issue was a missing .crt for a newly installed Certificate Authority.

Make sure that the CRL and AIA locations in your PKI have the correct .crt and .crl files.

Test by looking at the properties of the certificates and copy and paste the urls into a web browser to make sure they are accessable.

CRL Checking on your client will work also.

    Thanks for all the help.
