Import Group policy RRS feed

  • I have 2 windows server 2012 R2, on one of the server I have modified the group policy setting as required. Is there any way to imoprt the same settings on another server ? I have modified the settings locally on the server.

    Thanks for your post.

    What are the two servers? Are they domain controllers? Or just servers?

    GPOs are replicated within the domain and is not replicated cross-domains. If you would like to have the same group policy in other domains, you can simply export them.

    For importing, you could use Group Policy Management.

    1.Open Group Policy Management.

    2. In the console tree, double-click Group Policy Objects in the forest and domain containing the Group Policy object (GPO) into which you want to import settings.  

    Where?

      Forest name

      Domains

      Domain name

      Group Policy Objects

    3. Right-click the GPO, and then click Import Settings.

    4. Follow the instructions in the Import Settings Wizard, and then click Finish
