Domain Controller and client using Hyper V RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created a domain controller (virtual machine) named Test 1 using hyper V.

And I have configured a client machine using the same Hyper V named Client1.

How shall I connect the client VM to DC?

  • Hi

ensure both are on same virtual switch.

assign IP address for DC and Client VM on same network.

    Join to domain.

thats it all should be okay

  • Hi,

You can use a lot of method.

    1. Remote Desktop Connection (MSTC)

    2. You can install Hyper-V RSAT tools on Client computer after connect to Virtual DC via Hyper-V Console.

    3. You can install Active Directory RSAT tools on Client computer and manage directory with Client.

Also. this is not Internet Explorer issue. I think moderator move to correct section this post.

    Have a nice day.

  • Hi,

In addition, Make sure your DNS settings are pointing to the correct DNS Server for the domain. You have to have access to a Domain account that is part of the Domain Admins security group.

So you need to create a domain account or the domain admin account is OK.
