How to exclude some lines applying "does not" filters to the same column on Windows Server 2012 R2 Server Manager? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I want to make the list of the Volumes more clean by excluding some of them based on their File System Label. For an example, I do not want see the Volumes named Recovery or System Reserved.

When I add the first criteria ,"and File System Label does not contain Recovery", the Volumes named Recovery disappear. When I add the second criteria it always starts with "Or" if I repeat a column name and it look like "or File System Label does not contain System Reserved". Since all Volumes meet the criteria because of the "or" I lose even the effect of the first criteria. I could not find a way to convert this "or" to an "and".

I also tried to use a list of the keywords in the the same filter criteria text box, like we use at the Outlook Search Folder filters, such as:

    - "Reserved" AND "System Reserved"

    - 'Reserved' AND 'System Reserved'

I found some articles but these contain no example for my case:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/server-manager/filter-sort-and-query-data-in-server-manager-tiles

    https://windowsarchitecture.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/windows-server-2012-server-manager.pdf

How can I exclude these volumes?

    - The Server Management GUI use the same filtering mechanism for most of the other lists. So, it is not just about filtering the Volumes.

    - It looks that the Server Manager of Windows Server 2016 also works the same way.

    Best regards
