Subscriptions running twice RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some long running reports that when run through subscriptions will sometimes run twice.

What can cause the subscription to send the report twice? Is there a way to prevent his from happening?

  • Hi John,

The SSRS subscription behavior should be oriented by the subscription settings.

You could find the subscription page in SSRS Web Portal of this report, see if two emails was configured in the subscription. Or you could delete old subscription and add a correct new subscription manually.

    Regards,

  • Try  delete the subscription that was causing problems and created a new one to replace it

It is possible the SQL Server Agent service calculates an incorrect NEXT_RUN_TIME value for the job. Therefore, the job does not always run at the correct times. This issue occurs because an error causes a date value to be changed unexpectedly, the date value is used to calculate the NEXT_RUN_TIME value. If you got the subscription execute twice many times. please edit reset the subscription
