IE 11 Keeps Crashing in Win 8.1

  • I did a fresh install of Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 keeps crashing constantly, even when run without add-ons by running iexplore.exe -extoff. Internet Explorer is basically useless on this machine right now. I have attempted a reset and that did nothing as well.

Here is the event log I keep seeing.

  • For some reason after rebooting the machine a few times the issue went away. Wish I could say what the hell happened. The add-on list updated on its own and some add-ons now say "Incompatible" so that might have been part of the issue. But when I had them disabled the issue was still occurring.
