Hi, I'm pretty new to WSUS so I apologize in advance for any error. I've been included from the major system administrator in wsus alert mail list, so every morning I receive an email like this:

Since that updates are new, they are obviously unapproved (no automatic approving rule defined). So I open wsus control panel and I select under "updates" --> "all updates" filtering by "unapproved" and "failed or needed"
but the result list is often empty. I would like to understand why. For example, this morning I received the three defender definition update above, but nothing is shown in updates list. Sometimes instead I find only some of the many updates that I can read
in the email. Maybe I'm missing some important details of wsus behavior. Can you explain me better?
