Server 2003 aggiornamenti fa le bizze. RRS feed

  • Ciao, ho un Server 2003 NON in dominio (no policy quindi) che fà da wsus.

    Un client XP (che si aggiorna correttamente al server) in dominio

    Un server 2003 che non vuole saperne di aggiornarsi.

    Ma andiamo con ordine.

    Ho installato il 2003 da cd. Ho fatto il SP2.

    Adesso, io mi ricordo che ci sono circa una 90ntina di patches aggiuntive da scaricare per la sicurezza.

    Configuro il server indicandogli dove deve cercare gli aggiornamenti e riavvio il server. Lancio il comando di gpupdate /force dopo di che wuauclt /detectnow.

    Sembra che non trovi niente... Ma come è possibile?

    Nel server WSUS è tutto autorizzato e mi dice che quel computer necessita dell'aggiornamento..

  • Ciao Edo. Io mi riferifo al WSUS server che sta scaricando da microsoft le patch per poi distribuirle al richiedente.


    ah beh, ma questo è evidente e mi scuso che mi è sfuggito.

    quando in una rete (o dominio) in cui è attivo WSUS introduco per la prima volta un sistema operativo o una suite come Office o un server come SQL che risulti nuovo rispetto al parco installato in precedenza è ovvio che WSUS andrà a fare il download di tutte le patch esistenti sui server Microsoft per quell'elemento nuovo che è stato introdotto.

  • Vedo nella scheda di rete bella attività magari li sta scaricando dal server di microsoft...

    Esiste un modo per poterlo verificare?

    O meglio, facendo l'approvazione, parte in automatico il download da Microsoft?

    lo vedi il FAIL quotato?

    controlla il servizio nella console dei servizi e controlla il registro eventi in cerca degli errori collegati

    al fatto che il servizio Automatic Updates non funziona.

  • da quanto tempo è installato ed attivo questo server win2k3 ?

    mandami all'indirizzo mail in firma il file windowsupdate.log del server win2k3.

    Il 2k3 "client" è attivo da stamani.

    ci sarebbe da attendere fino ad un massimo di 23 ore per la registrazione sul wsus.

  • 23ore? Pigrone!!!!

    ad ogni modo il server WSUS vede correttamente il piccoletto registrato cosi come anche se stesso ed un client xp (il mio portatile).

    Puo' essere che stia ancora tirando giu da internet gli aggiornamenti da microsoft?

    Lo dico perchè è li che macina (nel mio gergo vuol dire elaborare dati) e la cartella C:\WSUS piano piano aumenta...

  • può essere che stia scaricando gli aggiornamenti (a me il log non è arrivato) ma se è così certamente non li sta scaricando dai server Microsoft perchè il tuo win2k3 punta in tutto e per tutto al server WSUS.

    Domattina appena torno a lavoro ti re-invio il file di log. Mi spiace non ti sia arrivato. Anzi te lo uploddo su megaupload cosi fai prima.

    ah beh, ma questo è evidente e mi scuso che mi è sfuggito.

    quando in una rete (o dominio) in cui è attivo WSUS introduco per la prima volta un sistema operativo o una suite come Office o un server come SQL che risulti nuovo rispetto al parco installato in precedenza è ovvio che WSUS andrà a fare il download di tutte le patch esistenti sui server Microsoft per quell'elemento nuovo che è stato introdotto.
