Losing server connectivity daily - server 2003 r2 standard edition

  • Our windows server 2003 losing connectivity to the the network. It needs to be re-booted everyday. We have been using the server setup since 2007. All of the sudden we are losing the connection.

    Any ideas on how to correct?

    Connection to what? How are you verifying? Its possible the hardware is failing so I'd run the manufacturer system diagnostics when the problem happens.

    Thanks for your question.

    • Check the network link for poor contact.
    • Check the quality of the NIC and replace the NIC if necessary.
    • Network devices problem: ADSL modem, router, etc.
    • Check adapter options: Preferred DNS server.

    More detailed information is needed to analyze the problem.
