    Buonasera a tutti,

    nell'ottica di tracciare gli accessi remoti degli utenti in vpn, abbiamo installato presso l'infrastruttura del cliente un server radius che permettesse solo agli utenti che fanno parte di un determinato gruppo active directory di accedere alla vpn. Ad installazione finita del server radius, questo è stato configurato su un firewall fisico fortigate, fornendo l'ip del server e la shared key.

    Fin qui gli utenti si connettono da remoto in vpn senza problemi.

    I problemi sono sorti quando nella giornata di ieri abbiamo configurato il radius affinchè "scrivesse" la connessione e disconnessione di ogni singolo utente su un database sql express, presente in locale sul server.

    Riepilogando gli utenti stamattina non riuscivano più ad accedere in quanto il server mostrava il seguente evento di errore: 

    "Server dei criteri di rete: impossibile registrare le informazioni di accounting nell'archivio dati primario (HOSTNAME_RADIUS_SERVER\SQLEXPRESS). A causa di questo problema di registrazione verranno ignorate tutte le richieste di connessione. Informazioni sull'errore: 0x80040e14."

    Potreste aiutarci a capire come risolvere questa problematica?

    ho trovato questo vecchio post (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5971b6e1-5622-431d-b2e7-f8bb4c4887dd/nps-sql-logging-not-working?forum=winserverNAP) ma non so se può aiutarti. Io proverei ad accedere al server utilizzando SSMS e verificare che non ci siano problemi di utenza o di porte TCP assegnate all'istanza.

    In ogni caso riporto quanto era scritto:

    Things to check on the Data Link Properties page:

    • Do you have the name of the SQL server (1.) as "<whatever you machine name is>\SQLEXPRESS" since you are using SQL Express?
    • Did you check the "Allow saving password" checkbox (2.) so NPS can use the credentials you entered?
    • When you ran the Accounting wizard, did you enter a database name (3.) on the Data Link Properties page?
    • Is this database name configured when you view the Data Link Property page (3.) from the NPS SQL Server Logging Properties page?

    Other things you can check:

    • Do you have SQL Server Management Studio installed with SQL Server 2008 Express?
    • Can you use this account you created with SQL Server Management Studio to connect to your database?
    • Does SQL have any Events or logs you can check?
