  • Yes you can! but you might need third party tools as suggested by Nex6 to capture some bespoke apps.

Can I suggest http://www.appdeploy.com/ as the best starting point when it comes to packaging any app for deployment.

  • Good day ccruranovic,

Yes you can make a program to install .MSI for remote deployment, or you can try the simpliest way by scripts batch file place this one inside the program or scripts.

"msiexec /i \\<servername>\<sharename>\<.msi> - make sure this is visible and have proper sharing and security permissions.

Here's the Link:  http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/227091?p=1, or at command prompt you can type the "msiexec" and it will give you all syntax and parameters.

Or you can use the Group Policy to deploy Software Installation over the network by User Configuration, Computer Configuration.

Hope this will help you and have a guide you to the Software Installation.

         Thanks and Regards,

         Cheers...

  • not sure if this is the right forum for this thread. but, to create an MSI package you use a toolkit like WISE. as far as AVG, look on AVG website or contact them to see if they have a msi package. many venders have MSIs now. though, some like adobe do not public release it.
