I just want to find out how I can possibly change the settings on Windows Update, that have been fixed by Group Policy. I cannot update my Windows Update settings because the Administrator saw it fit that I should not, and I don't like not being an Administrator on a computer that I use because it irritates me to have to stop oncertain operations simply because of not enough priviledges to continue with such an operation.
I know I'm not a computer staff at my work, but I am fully capable of working on my allocated device as an able technician.
Please help. Anyone.

I must say that most organizations do not allow users to have Administrator privileges on the PC's they use, because of the security consequences. Even IT Administrators should never logon with Administrator privileges, except when necessary to do their job. For any other tasks, like email, they should use a normal user account without privileges. Where I worked, we emphasized that the PC's were enterprise workstations, owned by the company. I don't think we can advise you on ways to get around any organization policies.

Manage updates in Windows
Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update .
Select either Pause updates for 7 days or Advanced options. Then, in the Pause updates section, select the drop-down menu and specify a date for updates to resume.Regards,
