Good comparison Between SCSM 2012 R2 and SCSM 2016 RRS feed

  • 質問

  • Has anyone been able to find a good comparison between SCSM 2012 R2 and SCSM 2016. From what I have seen so far there is no good reason to upgrade and my managers would like to see what the real differences are.

    Thanks,

    Candice.

  • Hi

SCSM 2016 seems to be mainly about performance improvements, rather than features. This may make it more difficult to explain to managers, but the performance improvement is significant. The new HTML portal was released in UR 8 and this would have been a great new feature otherwise.

I think this is a good summary of the features in SCSM 2016 What's New in Service Manager. This covers TP5 which was the last public release. Hopefully there are some features that would impress your managers.

They tested with a management server supporting 200 connections which should mean a reduction in the number of management servers required for SCSM 2016.

The speed improvements should also be noticeable to Analysts and it should just work better. Seems like a small thing, but less complaints about slow performance would be nice.

This link provides a high level dot point summary of the entire System Center 2016 suite (SCSM is at the bottom of the page)  What’s new in System Center 2016 Technical Preview 5

    Regards

How would you rate the performance between SCSM 2012 R2 and SCSM 2016 ? Assume the performance rating of sCSM 2012 R2 is 1, then what about the performance rating of SCSM 2016 ?
