  • If you used to configure GPO then you have to configure application install at session opening or computer startup,

in configuration wizard browse to client.msi file under \\sccm_site_server\sms_cm1\client\x64\client.msi

command line installation arguments are retrieved in AD container where SCCM server writes a lot of retrieval data and configuration settings loke management point

those command line args can be set in administration - sites - client installation settings in the console

Provided of course that you set needed access rights on those AD containers for SCCM server account:

  • Please refer to the link below:

How to install clients with group policy

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/clients/deploy/deploy-clients-to-windows-computers#BKMK_ClientGP

    Advantages

      • Doesn't require computers to be discovered before the client can be installed.

      • Can be used for new client installations or for upgrades.

      • Computers can read client installation properties that have been published to Active Directory Domain Services.

      • Doesn't require you to configure and maintain an installation account for the intended client computer.

      +

    Disadvantages

    • If a large number of clients are being installed, it can cause high network traffic.

    • If the Active Directory schema isn't extended for Configuration Manager, you must use group policy settings to add client installation properties to computers in your site.
