Deploy Lync Server Monitoring Reports Greyed Out RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed a Lync Monitoring/Archiving server, installed the base system.  Previously, when I completed the installation (Install or Update Lync Server System) I selected "Deploy Monitoring Server Reports."  I do not have SQL admin permissions so it failed.  Long story short, today I am coming back to this issue and was preparing to work with the SQL admin to run the "Deploy Monitoring Server Reports" out of the deployment wizard, but it is not greyed out.  Has anyone else experienced this type of issue?  If so, what was the fix?

    Thanks.

Answers

  • Hi,

The minimum set of user rights and permissions must include local server administrator, domain user, RtcUniversalServerAdmins, and monitoring database (SQL Server Reporting Services) read/write permissions.

Have Message Queuing, Local Configuration Store and Setup and Lync Server Components installed successfully?

Please also make sure all the services have started successfully.

    Regards,

  • Hi,there,

To supplement Kent you should also have the domain admin group permission to run the deployment wizard Deploy Monitoring Server Reports.

And please make sure the SQL database server for Monitoring/Archiving Server meets the requirements for deploying SQL reporting service with the following link

  • Are you succesfully installed the Monitoring server and the reporting server?

If yes, maybe you have to reinstall the monitoring server.
