  • Hi,

Transitivity of trust works inside a forest. with in 3 forest it will not work so forest A will not trust forest C.

  • Hi,

It is designed on purpose, such as a company can have trust with his partner (Partner1) and another partner (Partner2). But partner1 and Partner2 are rival company. If forest trust are transitive then partner1 and partner2 will have trust which is actually not there because they are rival company.

If it is needed then an explicit trust has to be created between Partner1 and Partner2.

    Hope this helps.

Please mark it as answer if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Hi

Forest trusts are transitive in the sense that each domain in one of the forests trusts each domain in the other forest. However, this doesn't mean that if Forest A trusts Forest B and Forest B trusts Forest C, then Forest A trusts Forest C. This can only be achieved when 3 seperate trusts are created.

ex;3 domains in 3 different forests, A, B, C, can trust each other if 3 seperate trusts are created between each other.
