Adding Lync Users RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running Lync 2010. I can enable users via the Lync Control Panel just fine. I can add individual users to Lync (communicator) just fine. I would like to know if there is a way on the server end to create groups, add users to those groups, and then assign those groups to users within Lync. This way all of the users would not have to add individual users and new users would simply log in to Lync and the users would be there. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi cwl,

with the GUI this is not possible -- however you can enable users with Lync command shell with any filter that you can think of. E.g. you could create a script, that runs in whatever interval you need and enables all users that are member of a specific OU. You could also have a script that sets different permissions rearding of what OU the user is member in.

    Best regards,
