Lync user offline IM RRS feed

  • Hello,

    currently we're using Lync 2013 Server in our environment. Today manager asked me to check is it possible to send the offline user message. i searched documents but didn't find anything. 

    is there any way to configure the offline user message option? Thanks

  • Hey Hi !

    Offline Instant messaging is only available in Skype for Business with latest CU... This feature isn't available in Lync 2013 version.

    Offline IM is a new feature available in SFB 2015 server CU3. It is built into Skype for Business client (2016 C2R build 16.0.6701.1000 or higher) that leverages Exchange Web Services (EWS) to send messages from the Skype for Business client to a user's Exchange mailbox. You can now send Skype for Business messages to your contacts even if they are not signed in.
