Missing Autodiscover and Mcx in IIS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I went through the mobility service doco and realised that I am missing the Autodiscover is Mcx site in IIS. I am able to run get-csMcxConfiguration and can see that the following information is present.

    Identity : Global

    SessionExpirationInterval: 259200

    SesssionShortExpirationInterval: 3600

    ExposedWebURL: External

    PushNotificationProxyURL: sip:push@push.lync.com

this is in a test lab but I would like to get this working if possible with my phone with the lync client installed. I cannot see any errors in the logs and when I ran the bootstrapper.exe, everything was successful.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Did you execute the mcx installer directly or follow the documentation to first copy then execute the bootstrapper? Also, some preparations are required if you are running IIS 7 (on Windows Server 2008) whereas this is simplified in IIS 7.5 (Windows Server 2008 R2).

Please share with us if this helps. Thanks!

  • Hi Desmond,

After multiple attempts I was able to get the virtual directories in IIS for autodiscover and mcx. I had to reinstall several times and reboot and after 4 times it appear.

    Thanks for your help

  • I had the same issue, make sure to check Lync server windows event viewer for errors.

in my case i was missing permission to lync share folder, so i had a a couple of replication errors.
