A few months back we had our DNS pointing to our on-prem Lync 2010 environment, all our users Skype\lync accounts in the cloud. Everything worked. A windows system could use SFB or Lync 2010 client. A mac could use the Lync Client. We enabled MA and the windows side was fine, but the Macs could only use SFB client, the lync client stopped working. So we disabled the MA to get Lync working, since no one had the SFB client.
Fast forward to now, everything is still the same, but we just recently repointed our dns away from the Lync on-prem to the SFB online. I would like to enabled MA again in the SFB environment, but not sure if Lync will break again on the macs.
Any thoughts on this on how to get Lync and SFB working at the same time with MA.
As I am concerned, you should change DNS record to point to SFB online, then troubleshoot why Lync for Mac didn’t work, update Mac’s OS and Lync for Mac to the latest to check if the issue persist.
