This conversation is similar to "Pasting Pictures in Lync 2010 IM." I wanted to raise it again saying that we also converted from Sametime. The ability to post a screen shot right into Sametime was very helpful for troubleshooting problems across
our company. Now everything must be an attachment. This adds a few additional steps in this process that is more annoying than anything.
Further, the emoticons are awful. I cannot understand why you would not allow for custom ones to be imported. Simple gif files would suffice.
I hope so one can at least explain the thought process here and possibly open a ticket to add this functionality in a future release.
Agree! Still over a year later and no ability to add additional emoticons or pictures to messages in Lync. We also moved over from Sametime and I now have this whole (obsolete) library I can no longer use. Also miss the ability
for pasting pictures/screenshots for training/troubleshooting. In the Social Media world of today, Lync seems like a huge step backward.
