Lync Push Notification problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Now , we are during POC Lync Server 2013

I try workaround for Window Phone 8 login to Lync Server 2013 with internal CA step below this

    -          Setup new standalone CA Windows 2008 R2 Server ( Customer’s existing standalone CA Server for test wireless )

    -          This standalone CA Server can publish CRL record with ldap and http

    -          Request and assign certificate for Lync Server 2013 Front-End , Edge and Forefront TMG 2010 with standalone CA Server

    -          Publish new Web publishing in Forefront TMG 2010 for publish http CRL website

    -          Testing by access CRL website from internet ( http://xxxx/CA Authority.crl ). It can download

    -          Testing login with Lync 2010 in Windows Phone 8. It’s work

    -          Can send and receive IM

    -          Cann’t see IM when exist Lync 2010 or close mobile phone ( Push IM )

     [Problem]

Customer need to see push IM in mobile phone

Could you please help us to find solution ? I’m not sure they need public certificate for Lync Push Notification or not.

  • If you want to do federation, you should use pulbic certificate for Lync edge server.

The push notification enable federation with Lync online, you need the public certificate.
