Lync on-premise with Office 365 UM RRS feed

  • We are trying to get Exchange Online UM working with our on-premise Lync. We have followed the directions and below is what happens when a call comes to our Lync client and is not answered...

    - Call is sent on to Exchange Online UM and is answered but there is no default welcome greeting, just silence.

    - The call stays connected for about 10 seconds and then disconnects.

    - The user that was called receives a notification in their Office 365 Exchange mailbox that they missed a call.

    We have tried with the default welcome message and a customer welcome message. Neither seem to work.

    So, call routing to Office 365 UM seems to be working and Office 365 UM appears to answer the call, we just don't get any kind of welcome prompt so that a voicemail can be left.

    What did I mess up?

  • It Looks like, you have a problem with your Edge Server. Something like one way speech.

    Everything is working fine with your external Clients?

    Have you configured your Edge Server to integrate Exchange UM online?

     Thanks for the reply. Turns out the issue was an IP routing issue on my Mediation server. Once I fixed it the calls to O365 UM worked fine.
