  • Thanks Nice post, We done same for Lync Online Services of Office 365.

    1. Download ADMX and ADML files of Lync, lync16.adml and lync16.amdx, we can configure it at computer and user level both, please go with User mode, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49030%20
    2. To define Group Policy settings by using the Skype for Business administrative template files
a.Create a root-level folder to contain all language-neutral ADMX files.
b.For example, create the root folder for the central store on your domain controller at this location:

This procedure assumes that you want to manage multiple computers in your domain.

In this case, you store the templates in a central store in the Sysvol folder on the primary domain controller.

This provides a replicated central storage location for domain Administrative Templates.

    3.      Create a subfolder for each language that you'll use.

      1. These subfolders will contain the language-specific ADML resource files.
      2. For example, create a subfolder for United States English (EN-US) at this location:
      3. %systemroot%\sysvol\domain\policies\PolicyDefinitions\EN-US

4.Open GPMC.MSC in DC or ADC Server, create New GPO for Manual SFB Sign in, Create Registry DWORD with below Guidelines

        1. Need to place registry 32 bit DWORD named as ConfigurationMode at location, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync  , value will be 1
        2. Link the GPO with User based OU
        3. Run Gpupdate/force
        4. Cross check Registry Settings at end user machine

5.Configure Specify Server Settings in GPO object and run gpupdate /force at server end and Client end

6.Cross check the results at end user machine.
