    Why can't I access my external drive recently encrypted with bitlocker?

    Try opening cmd/in cmd type: services.msc in msc locate BitLocker Drive,double click,set to: Auto start/start

    service/exit/restart pc.Also,for storage mgmt.,in run type: diskmgmt.msc  in msc,L.click on the device,go up to Actions/All/Make active/close out/restart pc....

    You need to unlock encrypted external drive then access to it, need password or recovery key.

    In my opinion, turn On Auto-unlock for your external drive is feasible.
