Change IP of the LYNC Front end RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi..

I'm Planning to move my lync front end server to a new Subnet, so the IP address will be changed.

Will it effect my Overall connectivity , what changes I have to make....

    Thanks.

I have never done this but I believe the only change you need to make is to the DNS entries that point to your Front End server. This is on the assumption that you have used names for server in your topology. You might want to check firewall rules on other Lync servers.

  • It is no Problem. You have only to change the DNS configuration and if you use a voicegateway the routing entry for incomming and outgoing calls.
