Skype for Business Online - Mobile Sign-in issue

    Question

  • Hi All,

I have a client that has a weird issue now. They currently had a hybrid setup on prmise to O365. They have old Lync server with edge before but already decommisioned currently their front end server is still existing but no activated users. They migrated users and users mailbox on O365. Everything is fine. But when they try logging in to SfB mobile app, the user that is migrated from onprem to O365 experiencing login issue, some unknown SSL certificate is popping not related on the current domain both onprem and O365, ofcourse they don't want to trust the SSL since it's not theirs. Anyone experienced this?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Akampa,

Thank you, but another info, they didn't setup Lync as a hybrid on O365. Only AD and Exchange.

    Thanks!

  • Hi spideynok,

Please help us confirm the following questions:
    1. When sign in to SFB mobile client, are there any error messages? Could you provide the detailed error message for us ?
    2. Did you mean the issue only appear on the specific mobile client?
    3. What’s your mobile device system, Android, IOS or windows?

If the issue only appear for specific user, please compare AD attributes between the affected users and other normal users.

Moreover, you could use Microsoft remote connectivity analyzer check if there are any errors.

  • Hi Alice,

    1. When sign in to SFB mobile client, are there any error messages? Could you provide the detailed error message for us ? --- No error message just a prompt/pop up of a SSL Certificate with different domain that is not related on their network/environment.
    2. Did you mean the issue only appear on the specific mobile client? --- We didn't try it on iOS but all users that was migrated from on-prem to O365 is the one experiencing the problem, all android users.
    3. What’s your mobile device system, Android, IOS or windows? --- Android.

That's what I'm thinking, the AD attribute that's connected to their old Lync. What are those attributes that I can look for?

    Thank you very much!

  • Additional information.

Signing in on iOS devices is OK and doesn't experience the certificate popup.
