  • When dialing out, it is taking up to 22 seconds to reach and hear the dial out tone. There is NO firewall, or such, just a basic connected to internet and out to the world. Is this common for everyone else?

  • How  your mediation server is configured with your gateway ?
    check the event logs in the mediation server 
    Enable SIP Stack Trace reproduce the scenario and see the results

  • Delays in call setup could also occur if you've set an edge server for media in topology but haven't finished deploying the edge.

  • Hi,

    you should also check the performance of the servers. If those servers are virtualized, also check the physical hosts for performance issues as this wouldn't necessarily be visible in the VMs.

  • Do you have an Edge Server in your Topology, is the Edge fully configured?

    Does the Edge server has a Persistant Route to Client Subnets?

    If possible and allowed - try removing Edge from Topology & Try. Thanks

  • Normal it should take only some seconds for the dial tone.

    You should check your Configuration. The edge Server is always involved on voice calls. If it take longer to reach the edge a call Setup can take more time as normal.

    Which pstn Connection did you use, Gateway or SIP trunk. Maybe something is wrong configured on your Gateway?
