Is there any way to let the win8 VM to send RemoteFX bitstream to Client?

  • Hi!

Unless the Windows 8 architecture is compliant or there have been updates/fixes released to Hyper-V 2008 R2 that I don't know of, then I guess this information is still valid:

Operating System and Host Hardware Requirements

To use RemoteFX features through VMM, there are certain operating system and hardware requirements that must be met. These requirements are summarized in the following table

    Compatible guest operating systems

    • Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Ultimate and Enterprise Editions (32-bit and 64-bit)

This information was pasted from the "What's New in Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 SP1" article , found here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg318085.aspx

Remember that VMM itself is (or at least was) a centralized Hyper-V host management solution, with no additional virtualization functions. The requirements and limitations stated are listed as applicable to host.
