Since you can't modify office365 servers you are going to need to do something at the client level.
You could automate the Lync client.
Use the below code as a start:

(instead of show YOU info, it could IM the remote party with some botlike action. )+Say thanks and observe basic forum courtesy:

A different option could be hosting your service on-premise in a different Lync setup and federate with Office 365. In this case Office 365 users will be able to contact your bot through federation. Configuring Federation Support for a Lync Online 2010 Customer.
Don't know if this is viable for the functionality the bot is providing, but it could be a solution for your problem.
