IE9 roadmap? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Will there be any new updates for IE 9 considering IE10 is out?

Is there a place where I can find the update history of IE9?  The build 9.0.8112.16421 was released 2011-03-14.  Does this mean there there has been no updates in the past year or so?

The reason I am asking this is that I downgraded IE from 9 to 8 because 9 causes BSOD frequently, but I still want to try IE9 to see if the problem is fixed when a new update is released.

Any tip will be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

add the IEBlog to your feeds.

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ie/

to keep abrest of the latest public news.

Also http://www.favbrowser.com/ keeps a good pulse on the web chatter.

"Any tip will be greatly appreciated" - loose the Addons and you'll probably loose the BSOD. I would suggest your go

    Start>Control Panel>Action Center

and turn on Windows Update (if you haen't already done so)

Help>About Internet Explorer shows the build number of the Iexplore.exe chrome. It does not indicate the currentness of your IE9 installation.

the current Update version is 9.0.4 (see the IE About box), but this may vary depending apon your country and Windows Update settings.

which is a security update for IE pushed through windows update in December 2011. see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2618444
