lync 2010 call routing issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am hoping someone can help me with this one.  I have two pools in my environment pool 1 and pool2.  I recently lost a sql server that was hosting pool2 (but not the CMS database).  I forced all users over to the pool1.  When I place a call to a user that was forced over, I still see lync trying to send the call via the FE server in the second pool.  the call connects successfully.  the issue is that I need to recreate pool2 but I can't as the calls won't complete when I stop the services on the server in Pool2.

    Any thoughts?

  • Hi,

During the pool failover, after you have configured all backup routes a call in progress should stay active even while the Lync Client is going thru its log off/log on process to connect to the backup registrar.  If you are in an active call during this fail over, your call should stay connected.
