Changing Notes RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using Office Communicator 2007 R2 as an internal IM solution.  Like the idea of it integrating it with our calendars to show presence.  We've also been using the notes section to be able to put more detail when we change our status such as, "Taking a late lunch.  Will return by 2PM."  While this works great, it does require more interaction with the user and sometimes we forget.  Is there a way to set someone as a "secretary mode" and allow them to changes people's notes if that person is away from the office.  This might allow someone to call in and our secretary can update their note/status for them.

  • Deli is correct.  It is not available in this version of OCS.  If the user has a mobile device.  They can change their personal note from that.  So if they forget when they leave the office, they can log in via Communicator Mobile and change their note.

  • It's not possible except the secretary knows mangers' password to change notes. But MOC login on multiple computers in simultaneously must be allowed on premise.
