  • Hi ,

    We are facing whiteboard issue with federated domain.

    For eg: our domain is x.com and federated domain is y.com

    while y.com share the white board were getting the network issue and DNS configuration error.

    If the y.com using lync 2013 client and x.com using lync 2013 client . It is working fine.

    If the y.com using skype 2016 client and x.com using lync 2013 client . It is not woring working fine

    while x.com share the white board to y.com it is working fine .

    please share the possible solution to it.

  • Hi,

    Just make sure neither you nor your federated partner have the .Net Bug which stops the presenting whiteboard feature.

    We found that after installing the Microsoft .NET Framework Security Update MS16-065 on a Front End or Standard Edition server for Lync Server 2010, Lync Server 2013, or Skype for Business Server 2015, several conferencing modalities no longer function for users..

    The following chart is listing out some KBs which might cause this behavior:

    Server OS edition

    Affected patches

    Server 2008 R2

    KB3142024 KB3142033 KB3142037

    Server 2012

    KB3142025 KB3142032 KB3142035

    Server 2012 R2

    KB3142026 KB3142030 KB3142036

    Please check the OS edition of Lync server, if any of you have installed the affected patch, please try to uninstall it and restart the server to test if it works.
