Office Communicator: How to Combine Multiple Chat Windows

  • Would anyone be available to assist me with learning how to combine multiple chat windows in to one main window? It seems as if I need an entirely seperate screen just to put all my conversations in, just to keep track.

Is there a way to combine 5-10 chats in to one window (but not a group chat)?

    Thanks for your time!

  • Hi shenanigans,

Tabbed Conversations provides a tabbed to allow multiple instant messaging (IM) conversations in a single window.

And provide this guide for reference, hope it's useful.

  • Thank you for your help.

But is there a difference between Lync and Office Communicator? Because My IM screens do not look like that.

  • Hi shenanigans,

Yes, this tool is for Lync 2010. You may need to update first, and then try again.

  • I just noticed that my post got moved by Max Meng. So now I have to get it moved back to the original forum as instructed by Microsoft.
